The Fool

The Fool. Ah, our introduction to the hero of our the biggest journey in the tarot – the Major Arcana. Let us meet this character, this Fool who is merrily traipsing off on a journey without a care in the world. Ahead of him, the Fool does not see what lies off the cliff, or around that bend in the railroad tracks.

Of course, neither do we. What lies beyond these first steps may be good, bad, or somewhere in between. That’s not the point right now. The point is packing up, leaving your house, and hitting the metaphorical road.

When the Fool comes up, look for places to begin a new journey. If there is something in your life that has just begun, or something where you may  have an option to go down a new path. It’s time. If there’s nothing that pops up, then it’s time to take a good long look at your life. Where do you feel stuck? Think about what you could do to get going. It doesn’t have to be a full plan. Just take the first few steps.
