Justice

Justice. It’s a principle that America was founded on, and yet one we don’t often see in practice.

But when you look at it, you can see examples through history. A march from Selma to Washington. Women chaining themselves to a fence to demand the right to vote. A young person with a flower facing down a row of soldiers. Gay men and lesbians taking to the street, marching defiantly and declaring they will not hide who they are.

Crowds of young people taking to the streets to demand that police stop killing them, to let it be known that their lives — black lives — matter.

What is the justice you want to see in the world? What will you act for? When are you willing to put yourself on the line for the benefit of somebody else?
